It is our honour to invite you to the 10th European Symposium for the Protection of the Night Sky. The main goal of the symposium is to exchange views among experts and activists working on the field of light pollution. The scientific program will be divided in several sessions, dealing with all aspects of obtrusive light. A special session 'Evolving Technologies as Solutions to Light Pollution' organized by IAU Commission 50 will be held on Friday (September 3) afternoon. The symposium shall take place in Kaposvár, Hungary at the County Hall 2nd-4th September 2010.

September 3. 19:00: Trip to the Zselic Starry Sky Park. Traditional Hungarian dinner in the Zselic region and then a 5 km walk in the park. Fee: 10EUR = 2800HUF
September 4. 20:00: Conference dinner. Fee: 20EUR = 5600HUF
Lunch will be available at the conference location for about 6EUR.
Several hotels and motels offer reasonable accommodations in Kaposvár.

Several companies offer convenient transfer from the Budapest Ferihegy Airport (http://www.bud.hu/english) to Kaposvár. We recommend this option if several people can share a minibus.
